Tillandsia
Tillandsia are epiphytes and
need no soil because water and nutrients are absorbed through the
leaves. The roots are used as anchors only. Although not normally
cultivated for their flowers, some Tillandsia will bloom on a regular
basis. In addition, it is quite common for some species to take on a
different leaf colour (usually changing from green to red) when about to
flower. All of our Tillandsias are sold bare-rooted. There are many ways
in which to display and mount Tillandsias, you are only limited by your
imaginations. We can help you come up with ideas, and we always welcome
ideas/photos from our customers which we can post in the "Reviews"
section. We have a few different sizes and grades:
