Paphiopedilum
Paphiopedilum are often referred to as "Lady Slippers" or "Slipper Orchids" due to the shape of their lip. It is by far one of the most unique and intriguing of all orchids. Its exotic, wax-like, richly colored blooms last for weeks and sometimes months. The plant itself has no pseudobulbs, and features attractive, glossy foliage. After leaves are fully formed, the flower stem rises from the center of the new growth to form one of the most unusual flowers in the world. They are ideal for home growing…and not to mention they are my personal all-time favorite variety of Orchid!! We have three different Paphiopedilum grades:
