Scott Glazer - Owner
& Orchid sales Scott's family started Turtle Pond Nursery & Orchids
back in 1985, growing houseplants and orchids. Scott ran the family business
from 1998 - 2005, when unfortunately the hurricanes of '04 & '05 forced the
family to close it's doors. With a love for orchids and the industry, Scott
decided to continue the Turtle Pond tradition in a new direction. Using his
experience, he created a small network of growers who grow and ship on his
behalf. His strength is customer service, and is always available for your
questions and orchid advice.
Jason Lederman - sales associate
Jason arrived at Turtle Pond in January 2007. He came to us with over 10
years of experience in sales and customer service, and it's his casual style
that customer's continue to rave about. Always full of energy and enthusiasm,
Jason can be reached anytime to help you decide which orchids may work best for
your situation.
Our Business Philosophy
We pride ourselves on the
following:
1) Family owned and operated
business. Should you call at any time, Scott is available to meet your
needs and handle any problems or service requests.
2) Optimal size of our operation:
We are big enough to supply you with quantity, yet small enough to maintain
superb quality control and consistency among plants.
3) Quality of Plants-All of our
plants are of the highest quality and are under the best care. Our
experienced growers pay close attention to all of the plants on a daily basis
to assure optimal feeding, watering, and light conditions. Our orchids
have healthy root systems, large leaf spans, and high bloom count. We do
not ship a plant that does not meet our standards.
4) Professional Affiliations: We
are longstanding members of the Florida Nurserymen and Growers Association
(FNGA), the Palm Beach Wholesale Growers Association, and the Florida Farm
Bureau, the American Orchid Society, and the International Phalaenopsis
Alliance.
